Agreed. Big fucking waste of everyone’s time and video space.
It’s like Punishment Park 40 years on with EVERYTHING done completely wrong. Massive FAIL.

Always glad to oblige, my dear, always. x
Well, as an apparent blogger, he should know better.
But it appears to me that he’s severely hypertext-challenged judging from the lack of hyperlinks in his blog posts.
I assume that’s the crux then and let’s leave it at that.
But I must say that I like those sweet little nudges to me on his blog and Tumblr. Makes me feel super special. It’s always great to know people waste their lives researching me. :)
It’s particularly cute because we know now who the anonymous commentator was. Awwww.
I love you too. x
I certainly am! It’s mainly because I have super powers and you don’t.
Oh, and a superior intellect, bigger eyes and whiter teeth than you.
Basically, I rule supreme and I’m glad you noticed. :)
(Sorry to answer this so late - I’ve only just discovered it.)
I’m glad to hear that, my dear, and would also like to take this opportunity to thank Aiko273 - whose work I admire - and everyone else who believes in web source archaeology for their support.
A picture (and NO MATTER how shocking, unusual, weird or mind-bloggling it is) without a source is like a book without formed words - just all the letters randomly thrown in. It might be a good trigger to train your imagination and to leave you restless and encourage you to find out a (sadly mostly never “THE”) story to the image like the surrealists used to do, but often, it just remains a planet without features. Lost in space and time. Unexplored by anyone and never understood. Because who really can be bothered to delve into the unknown if it’s all about posting faster and faster and filling up empty web silences with more and more unneeded visual junk.
And while I think that maybe a certain puzzling suspension is a great place to be for antique private family snap shots, I think I prefer to have images of a more public nature explained. PARTICULARLY if they’re of historical significance because you really don’t want to mess with history, kids, or you’ll be messing with me. :)
Anyhow, back to your original post, alysian-fields: I think that when it comes to general cultural updates, I doubt I’m a good source as I’m only one person living in only one place (I don’t have the means to travel) - the East End of London. So I’m often more influenced by what’s going on around me.
There are amazing e-publications like e-flux, e-artnow, Flavorpill or, for the more academically inclined, H-Museum that have way more resources and staff and are probably better suited at keeping you culturally up-to-date. :)
