Lavigna Vampirica by Julien Martinez, 2010 Four years ago, when Julien’s oeuvre consisted mainly of 3D.. errm.. let’s say interpretations of the works of Mark Ryden and Ray Caesar I had quite a falling out about him not using his (obvious) talents in a more noble way. Tempers have calmed down a lot since 2006 and he even made me like Blythe dolls a tiny wee bit, which I thought impossible.

In related supernatural news, the only email that was magically rescued from the pre-2006 times after my inbox crashed the other day is an email by Vania from December 3, 2005, saying: “I am a young Russian artist based in London. I work for Erotic Print Society, Fantagraphics and several Japanese magazines. I love your website and would like to show you my work.” ♥ I can die peacefully now.
